James Murphy serves as the Section Chief for Industry Partnerships for the CISA’s Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative, or JCDC. In this role, he helps lead the Agency’s efforts to coordinate with the private sector to combat national and global security threats. Mr. Murphy has extensive experience working with private sector entities to establish partnerships and operationalize threat intelligence capabilities with the national security community. Prior to his current role, Mr. Murphy helped launch CISA’s Automated Indicator Sharing (AIS) initiative and led the execution of multiple information sharing Executive Orders. James graduated from Syracuse University and obtained his M.S. in Information Security from The George Washington University.
