What is it?
Boss of Operations and Observability (BOO or Boss of Ops + O11Y) is a competitive, gamified experience where you’ll explore Splunk solutions through real-life IT Ops episodes.
Who should play?
BOO is a fun competition to see where you stand, understand how you can improve, and learn from Splunk experts. Regardless of your Splunk ability, from a noob to guru, you will spend time working through fun problems and connecting with a global audience of your peers. If you have the curiosity and desire to participate, you should play!
The Scenario
You and your team will play the role of “Ace”, the ultimate IT guru, to triage, remediate, and resolve a variety of P1, P2, and P3 episodes (which you may know as incidents or outages).
There are many paths to victory, and time is of the essence. Some problems are easy, some are hard...the harder the problem and the more quickly you solve it, the more points you’ll earn! Have your team solve as much as you can while racing the clock to collect as many points as possible to earn the coveted title of BOSS.
